“ Such a wonderful local destination! Surrounded by great music venues, and a fantastic decor. Very low key, no one hurried us, and it was fun to see a couple that must be regulars enjoying their day playing cards. Food was delicious. I loved my benedict, cooked just right. My vegetarian friend got burrata panzanella which was delicious as well. What was my favorite though was the strawberry basil margarita. Fresh, seasonal flavors blended perfectly. I now have a new favorite I am going to have to try and make at home. A great find that I will go back to again and again. ”
“ What an AMAZING place. Day 1 going here we met a local named Kenny (Ken) and he told us how great the food is here at the Frenchman All Day. Both Ken and Tag told us how lucky we are because Gerald is cooking today. And yes I had to order Mimosas and the famous Crawfish hash and my wife had the Belgian waffle. Both were Amazing. 10 stars to the cook Gerald. Day 2 back again for Mimosas, Belgian waffle but today we added biscuits and gravy. Omg. Delicious. Thank you Kenny, Tag and Gerald for an Amazing 2 day experience at Frenchman. ”
“ Went on a Sunday on a long weekend so it was pretty busy, but I managed to grab a spot up at the bar. The shrimp and grits had such a perfect sauce! It was worth the business/momentary confusion about seating. Definitely a place to visit while in the area, would definitely visit again. ”
“ Can honestly say this is worth the walk from the French Quarter. The Crawfish Hash is one of the most spectacular dishes I’ve ever had, with the cream sauce and heavy fry potatoes combination being the star of the show. Service was a bit uneven but they were busy on a Sunday morning. ”
“ In New Orleans for the first weekend of its 2025 Jazz Festival, I chose lodging near Frenchmen Street. My hope was that I would spend the morning and afternoon at the Festival and visit restaurants and music clubs on Frenchmen Street. I had a ticket to see the Dirty Dozen Brass Band at Maison (508 Frenchmen Street) for a show starting at 10 p.m. After finishing the afternoon at the Festival I returned to my hotel (the Hampton Inn French Market Area) and after a brief nap went looking for locations nearby for dinner. Given a recommendation by a local resident, I chose Frenchmen All Day, pretty much right across the street from Maison. Genuine, reasonably priced, and perfectly portioned, I had their crawfish etouffee (17) and an Abita lager. Mild enough for les Americans, the dish seasoned up nicely with some Tabasco Sauce. Service was friendly and prompt, and I left knowing that this was the real deal, exactly what I was looking for in Cajun cuisine. ”
“ One of our favorite restaurants in Nola. Everything we had was delicious. Decent menu with a variety of options. Drinks were also well made. Would definitely come back. ”
“ We discovered this gem 4 years ago and now on our annual returns to the city, this is the eating establishment we return to time and time again. We’ve ordered about 1/2 of the menu selections by now and every one of them is of exceptional flavor and quality. We love the small space and all the local framed posters, prints, etc. They make a fabulous, flavorful Bloody Mary. Every food item and drink selection from there is fresh and made on the spot! The staff is efficient and friendly, always willing to engage in conversation if time permits. Try the bread pudding with rum sauce...oh my goodness!! ”
“ This was an unexpected gem on our last day in New Orleans. We had been walking around the French Quarter and were looking for a more relaxed spot, away from the hustle and bustle of everything. The space is decorated well, offers you fresh, cold tap water when entering, and has a great drink and food menu. We didn’t try any of the food, but the people around us were eating several dishes that looked great. The servers were nice and quick. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a slower paced spot while walking around! ”
